We offer 1:1 training and behaviour consults for a wide range of training needs. We would always start with an initial consult to assess you and your dog's needs so that we can then make a plan going forward's. We then offer ongoing sessions either weekly/ fortnightly with the aim of gradually building on the training in each session.
We can help with a range of training needs including reactivity, generalised anxiety, separation anxiety, frustration, over-arousal, recall, high prey-drive, fear-based aggression and much more. We do work with other professionals including vets, other trainers/ behaviourists and groomers where appropriate as we will always take a holistic approach with any training that we do.
This is our most popular service and sometimes we can have a 4-8 week wait to get booked in with us. So if this is something you are interested in please do get in touch as early as possible.
All our 1:1 training includes full ongoing support via WhatsApp in-between sessions.
We offer one-off puppy 1:1 sessions or a range of packages. We tailor the training to you and your puppy rather than following a set course. Every puppy is different! We also provide full ongoing support for those 6 weeks and beyond via WhatsApp. Sessions can start as soon as you get your new puppy home. We can come to your home for indoor sessions and then once your puppy is ready we can progress to meeting in outdoor locations and taking the training into the 'real world'. We can cover crate training, sleeping arrangements, exercise, appropriate socialisation, basic training, lead walking skills, recalls and much more. Quite often clients start with a one-off 1:1 session or a block of 4-6 sessions and then progress into one of our group classes when they are ready.
Our focus with puppy training is always on teaching puppies and their humans all they need to know to help their puppy grow into a confident, happy dog. We focus on teaching you how to read your puppy, learning about their individual personality and then tailoring any training we do to help them grow in confidence.
No puppy is a blank slate! All puppies come with their own personality, genetics and experiences in those first 8 weeks. Our job is to learn about each individual puppy so that we can then tailor our training programme for them.
We offer 6-week course group puppy training classes. These are ongoing so if you have a puppy and would like to join please do get in touch and we can book you onto our next course. All our classes are held outdoors where possible, but we do move indoors (where possible) in poor weather conditions and throughout winter.
We also have our rolling life skills group for any puppy/ dog over 6 months old, covering elements of agility, scentwork and trick training as well as a range of life skills. We've had huge success integrating our reactivity clients into this group when they are ready as part of their 1:1 training plan.
Our groups are currently held on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.
Our classes are different to many others! We don't let puppies or dogs 'say hi' to each other in the first few classes as we want to focus on engagement with their humans and us learning about each individual puppy. As the course progresses we then introduce controlled socialisation into the classes with the aim of matching up puppies/ dogs. We find this works really well and have had huge success with this way of working. Just like us, puppies/ dogs are much better finding friends that they 'click with' and share a similar play-style/ personality rather than just meeting as many different dogs/ people as possible and potentially risking a negative or even traumatic experience. We focus on helping every puppy 'build a bank' of positive experiences, which in-turn helps improve their optimism! An optimistic puppy will grow into a confident dog.
All our groups can be booked via Upcoming events - Booking by Bookwhen
